Day 13: Guild Steward

Never, ever, ever has there been a between edition glow-up quite like the Guild Steward/Governors Proxy.  Universally decried in M3E, not so much anymore.

His stats are not great. Df4 especially stands out, but the Demise of performing a 4/6/8 dmg flip against an enemy model that kills him is a significant piece of psychological defence. (usual caveat for condition deaths)

Protection Money is too good for me to forget every single damn time.  With the amount of Scheme markers floating around these days I really need to pay much better attention to this ability.  My opponent dropped three scheme markers (in one activation) next to my Master the other day to ensure ensnare and I missed every single one! This isn't Once Per Activation.  Pay attention!

Sharp Wit, never used it but it's there.  Making a much higher value model lose an AP is absolutely worth my time.

Dispel Magic is very handy, especially should you be summoning in models that gain Slow for whatever reason (looking at you Nightcrawler Network/Dashel) and just in general condition removal is very handy (such as it is).  There was a time in M2E where if you didn't bring condition removal you were ostensibly done and whilst that is not the case it is still very very useful.

Lastly, probably the action on his card I use the most, Foul Mouthed Motivation.  Healing and focus for a 6 is wonderful.  In Sonnia's case this is why he's here.  Not only to keep her proped up with regular healing but also to hand out focus so that she doesn't have to. As this is a Fast action, the vast majority of his Ap can go into walking about, interacting etc.  The stuff that wins games.  Well worth 6ss and will probably find a home in a lot of my crews regardless of Master.

Also sweet, sweet Alt sculpt.
